The story begins with "Hiikawa - 樋井川, a district in Fukuoka, Japan, where Miki was born.
Our name “Toi - 樋“ comes from the first character of “Hiikawa - 樋井川“.
And ”Toi 樋” also means a rain gutter that carries water.
Just like the small street-side eateries in Fukuoka, where master and customers gather around good food,
“Toi” is a place where anyone can return, even alone. Like a waterway, we “Toi” connect people to one another.
About us

Born in 1988 in Fukuoka, Japan.
After working in the food industry in Tokyo, I moved to
Germany in 2019, and that’s where I fell in love with the
creativity of plant-based cooking. I started sharing recipes
online, and in 2022, I began catering full-time in Düsseldorf.
In 2025, together with Alex, we started the Toi brand.
Born in 1992 in Montpellier, France. Played drums in a

pandemic in 2021, then lived in Fukuoka and Osaka
working in kitchens in 2022.
